Kramerville Management District

Welcome to Kramerville

The Kramerville Management District located near the Sandton Central Business District and the M1 motorway took its' future growth seriously by creating a legislated City Improvement District in March 2005 and is mandated to manage the public space in the areas from South Road in the north, Marlboro Drive in the south, Katherine Street in the west and the motorway in the east.

In addition to the services provided by the City of Johannesburg, services provided by the Kramerville Management District in the public space are for security and cleaning. Currently there are 6 Public Safety Ambassadors on day shift and 2 on night shift on a 24/7 basis. The Public Safety Ambassadors on foot and on bicycles are not armed but those in the 2 dedicated branded vehicles are armed.

The Public Safety Ambassadors are trained in the provision of security duties and attending to proactive and reactive crime prevention. In addition, they play an important ambassadorial function in assisting users of the area with such issues as directions and assisting with vehicle accidents.

The cleaning team consists of 4 cleaners who are responsible for the daily sweeping of the streets, and removal of all litter from the public space. Their duties include the removal of illegal posters, stickers and signs. They also undertake landscaping duties of watering and tending to the flower beds and trees, cutting the grass and removing the weeds.
